Best of the Valley is back!
It’s that time of year again. Best of the Valley is back, and voting is now open. Readers can select their favorite people, businesses, things to do and places to go in the Mat-Su Valley. There are seven main categories and dozens of subcategories. The lists include your favorite fishing charter, child care facility or gift store. Readers can also vote on the best burger, margarita or sushi in the Valley. Voting is open through July 15 at frontiersman.com. The July 29 edition of the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman will feature the 2020 Best of the Valley section section.
Tasty Treat Tuesday
Matanuska Electric Association is hosting Tasty Treat Tuesday alongside The Original Gourmet Ice Cream Bar, Inc. for the next three weeks. MEA is inviting members to the Palmer Train Depot July 7, Iditapark Red Pavilion in Wasilla July 14 and Town Square Park in Eagle River July 21 for a free ice cream bar from The Original Gourmet Ice Cream Bar, Inc. Each event is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., or until supplies run out.
